Online jobs board LoveLocalJobs.com is celebrating its five year anniversary with the launch of a new website which will allow the Sussex based company to compete alongside leading national and international recruiters.

Since 2010 LoveLocalJobs.com has grown from a single website for the Brighton and Hove job market to a family of jobs boards supporting employers and jobseekers across the south east.

The company has now merged its regional jobs boards to create a single “super website”. This development underpins LoveLocalJobs.com strategy for growth, putting it in a position where it can expand nationally and internationally while staying true to its regional focus.

Gary Peters, Chief Executive of LoveLocalJobs.com, says that the new site has real benefits for users. “Our old websites have served us well for the past five years, but technology continues to develop and we want to give our clients the advantage of the most current tools, which will make the site much easier and more straightforward to navigate. There are new features like the CV database where employers can browse CVs that potential candidates have uploaded.

“Thanks to improved SEO, the new site will attract greater volumes of traffic so there will be more jobs advertised and more potential candidates looking for them, benefiting employers and jobseekers alike.”

The new platform has been developed by Madgex, the world’s leading provider of job board software, which powers many of the biggest recruitment sites such as BMJ Careers, Telegraph Jobs, Sun Employment, The Washington Post Jobs and Guardian Jobs.

Richard Green, Business Development Manager at Madgex, explained how LoveLocalJobs.com and its users would benefit from the new platform: “The most obvious enhancement for users is that the site is completely mobile friendly. This functionality is vital for a jobs board as at least 40% of traffic now comes from mobile devices. Users can easily switch between devices and jobseekers can even upload their CV from the cloud when applying for a job from their smartphone.

“This is an on-going partnership between Madgex and LoveLocalJobs.com – we look after the technology - whether that be the moving goalposts of SEO, data security, hosting and changes in consumer behaviour – which allows LoveLocalJobs.com to focus on what really matters, which is building on their sales and marketing and the success that they have worked so hard to achieve over the past five years.”
