Health and Safety
Highfield Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF)

The objective of this qualification is to support a role in the workplace and is intended for learners already working as supervisors, managers, team leaders or those who are preparing to start work at this level, and gives them knowledge of health and safety. The qualification provides learners with an understanding of: the requirements of health, safety and welfare; the benefits of a health and safety management system; the risks and control measures for common workplace hazards; how to manage the effects of incidents and accidents; and the principles of risk assessment.

How long will it take me to achieve this qualification?
This qualification has a total qualification time of 30 hours and guided learning of 21 hours. 

How is the qualification assessed?
This qualification is assessed by a multiple-choice question examination containing 60 questions that must be completed within 120 minutes. 

What next?
Learners successfully completing this qualification may wish to progress onto further qualifications, such as:

  • Highfield Level 3 Award in Risk Assessment (RQF) 
  • Highfield Level 4 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF)
