City College’s central campus is in Brighton's buzzing, fashionable North Laine area, and every year, around 7,000 local and international students choose the College as their next step into a career or onto University. The College offers over 700 courses from Entry Level up to Foundation Degree level for all age groups from 14 upwards. Students can choose to study full or part-time courses or take up an apprenticeship with an employer. In addition, the College provides training to hundreds of businesses via its Business Development Department which focuses on employer training needs.

The College's vocational courses are career-focussed and provide hands-on industry training, ensuring that they provide the industry-standard skills that employers need. After completing their College education, students have the option to progress onto City College's own Foundation Degree courses, onto Universities or into employment. Students work in well-equipped workshops and studios, and facilities include hair and beauty salons, professional catering kitchens and a public restaurant, music production & performance studios and construction workshops.
