SC CLEAREDPuppet Consultant / SMECroydon7 Months initially£475 - £500 per dayOne of our key clients are looking for a Puppet Consultant / SME to join the team on a long running programme of work. Strong experience essential in automated environment provision and configuration management using tools such as Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible or Puppet. Strong experience essential in software packaging and dependency/version management, using tools such as GIT, RMP, Nexus. Able to architect and structure into Epics and Stories the environment and tooling needs of external developers and architects. Experience leading or managing teams using Scrum and JIRA, including leadership of scrum ceremonies (e.g. Sprint planning, daily stand-ups, end of sprint demonstration, retrospectives), liaison with product owners, and management of JIRA workflow and/or agile boards. In-depth experience essential in at least two of the following six areas: o User access/identity management (IAM), using tools such as OpenLDAP & phpLDAPAdmin, SSH daemon, OpenVPN, PasswordManagerPro. o monitoring tools, frameworks and processes, e.g. Zabbix, ElasticSearch, LogStash, Kibana. o Database administration, using Hadoop, Postgres, Oracle. 11g o Cloud infrastructure technologies such as AWS. o Networking, security, shell scripting, and Linux/CentOS. o Service Discovery using Hashicorp Consul o Storage of secrets using Hashicorp Vault o Creation of Machine Images using Hashicorp Packer o Experience of AppDynamics APM o DNS services using DNSMasq o Web Server/Reverse Proxy using NGINX, Apache or HA Proxy o Docker, Rancher OS and Kubernetes o Network routing, IPSec VPNs using Vyos/Vyatta. Proven success at conceiving and/or implementing improvements in one or more aspects of DevOps tooling. Experienced working in multi-supplier teams within large scale projects. Professional leadership skills - e.g. good communicator, ability to influence and coach others, good leadership skills, good stakeholder management skills, able to solve problems, honesty and integrity, keen to learn, drive and energy. Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery Tooling (Jenkins, Maven, Ant, Git, Sonatype Nexus, JUnit, Liquibase, Sonarqube, Docker). Automated Infrastructure Build and Provisioning Tooling (Jenkins, MCollective, Puppet, Ansible, RPM, Git/Stash, VMWare vCloud, AWS, Terraform, Docker Swarm / Kubernetes and Rancher). Environment/Service Management Tooling (OpenLDAP & phpLDAPAdmin, ssh daemon, Apache httpd, Squid, NTP, DNS, PostFix, Puppet & Ansible, Zabbix, Security Incident & Event monitoring, OpenVPN, Password Manager Pro, LogStash, Kibana and ElasticSearch).
