The position of Risk Manager offers the following package: - The position is based in central Chichester and offers a salary of up to £50,000 - £55,000 per annum - - 25 days' holiday raising to 26 days after 2 years' service, 27 days after 3 years - - A discretionary day off for your birthday, Christmas shopping day and moving house day - - 8 bank holidays - - Pension 7.5% contribution - - Private medical insurance - - Income Protection Summary of the Risk Manager position: 1. To work with the Finance team on the maintenance of the ICAAP, managing the capture and interpretation of date to be used in the Pillar 2 calculation. 2. To manage and maintain a comprehensive and effective risk management framework throughout the Group. 3. To provide leadership to Governance & Risk across all Group entities. 4. Ensure the Group is advised on regulatory developments, requirements and expectations in relation to Risk Management and information security, whilst supporting the Group's business requirements. 5. To work collaboratively with the wider Compliance team. A fully comprehensive job specification is available if required. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, the job holder will be responsible for managing and maintaining a comprehensive and effective risk management framework throughout the Group and will provide leadership to Governance and Risk across all Group entities. The Risk Manager will work with the Finance team on the maintenance of the ICAAP, managing the capture and interpretation of date to be used in the Pillar 2 calculation, as well as work collaboratively with the wider Compliance team. Responsibilities of the Risk Manager: Responsibilities include performing the Systems & Controls Function (CF28) (Risk) as agreed with the Board, producing, agreeing, implementing, supervising and reviewing strategic and business plans for the Governance and Risk Management function, providing technical expertise for major complex company projects and acting as the lead adviser to the Group on matters relating to risk management and associated disciplines. To be a successful in application for the Risk Manager you will have the following skills and experience: The job holder must have an understanding of FCA and other appropriate regulations governing the conduct of private client stockbroking, investment management (including creating and managing Collective Investment Schemes) and financial planning business. This is combined with a comprehensive understanding of Governance, Risk Management and Risk Management Techniques. Ideally, candidates will hold (or be working towards) a Compliance qualification (such as the CISI Diploma in Investment Compliance or a generic qualification with a Compliance element, such as the CISI Diploma), a Risk qualification (such as the IRM International Diploma in Risk Management) or an Internal Audit qualification (such as the Institute of Internal Auditors). This is likely to be supported by 5 years' practical industry experience in a senior compliance role and practical experience of applying FCA rules, e.g. client money, conduct of business, collective investment schemes and money laundering.
