Our Client, a highly respected and internationally recognised consumer travel company are looking to recruit a Business Development / Account Manager to join their successful team. As a Business Development Manager, the successful individual will be self-motivated, sales driven and enjoy building long standing relationships with clients. Able to think 'outside the box' and enjoy bringing new ideas to the team, the rewards could be endless. This opportunity would suit an individual with a minimum of 18 months experience who is wanting to build on their experience and take full responsibility for their role. Experience gained from within the travel industry would be an advantage, however is not an essential requirement, and our client is willing to consider other industries. Duties - To make the required number of contacts to prospective corporate clients, resulting in appointments with corporate travel decision makers, group leaders, and human resource decision makers. Delivery of presentations and closed sales, resulting in targets being met and increased turnover for the agency. - Once the agency has established a good corporate client base, to implement the leisure sales programme "Breakaways" into corporate accounts, and tie leisure clients into the agency. - To service the account as the liaison to the agency by follow-up meetings, delivery of tickets, and bringing feedback to the agency - To review corporate account management reports and ensure the travellers and the companies are registered with the relevant frequent flyers and corporate airline incentives. - To attend sales training and other courses, networking sessions, Business Development Managers' meetings, and other relevant courses. - Attend presentations and seminars presented by travel suppliers throughout the year. Help arrange and attend relevant trade fairs/exhibitions to bring in new business. - Daily meetings with the Managing Director and produce weekly sales reports tracking and monitoring sales calls and results. - To implement where necessary and maintain an accurate and up to date database of current and possible clients. - To work with the Managing Director in producing and implementing an annual marketing plan. Ensuring compliance with the marketing plan, and updating this where necessary. Skills / Experience - Previous sales experience - Proactive and self-motivated - Articulate and confident communicator, both face to face and on the telephone - Fully IT proficient on Word and Excel Due to the high number of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted
