Customer Account Manager - Croydon - PERM - £185k-£235k
Role summary This role will be to look after all aspects of our requirements, working within a team to maintain long term relationships and maximize sales opportunities. The role is varied and interesting and can be broadly split into 3 areas: 1. Sales: process orders, enquiries and quotes over the telephone and by fax and email ensuring the highest level of accuracy while always looking for opportunities to upsell. 2. Relationships: have a list of clients for whom you'll be responsible. By building relationships with them and providing an excellent service to keep them coming back. Work with area managers as a partnership to really look after your clients. 3. Service: Look after customers when they have a query, be it a late delivery or a returns request, ensure that client's receive the best service from one point of contact. Escalation support is provided by the customer service team. Career progression is provided by a clear, structured path to promotion, greater responsibility and ultimately management for those who want it. Experience & skills - Experience in sales of tangible products in a business to business environment is a big advantage. A friendly personality and ability to win clients over are also essential. Technical knowledge is not required but must demonstrate a willingness to learn and understand client's needs. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic to learn, demonstrate drive and a desire to provide the highest level of service and recognise opportunities to upsell. Principle duties and requirements include: - A high level of initiative and ability to work independently - The ability to work and interact with client senior level staff, engineers and administrative staff - Commercial acumen (understanding profitability and costs) - Exceptional communication: both written and spoken. - Coordinate work flow with other team members - Able to analyse and interpret data rapidly and effectively to provide customer insight - Strong organisational and planning skills - A good level of IT competency Training Industry experience or product knowledge is not essential as we offer a comprehensive training programme. In addition to initial induction training, we also offer a training academy to cover all aspects of our industry and product range. Qualification in each area contributes to a rise in your basic salary.
