2nd Line Support Technician
2nd Line Support Technician. £25k - £30k. £3k shift Bonus. Ref: M2LTS. Eastbourne, Hastings, East Sussex. We are looking for an experienced 2nd Line Technician to support the I.T. Service Desk team. This is based on a 37 hour week with a shift pattern of 'early' (start at 07h00), normal and 'late' (finishing at 01h00). There is the occasional Saturday or Sunday required but it is mainly Monday to Friday. Training will be provided but ideally we are looking for experience with some of the following: resolution or escalation of 2nd line incidents that require intervention and the execution of IBM AS400, HP Blade, HP 3-PAR and general IT Infrastructure operations as necessary to maintain business as usual activities. Ideal Technology skills: deliver AS/400 Operations, CDL Operations, Telephony, LAN & WAN management, PC maintenance and any upgrades required. Microsoft Office suite 2007/2010, especially Outlook; Troubleshooting issues on windows XP/7 clients; Understanding IBM and HP desktop and server hardware technologies; Understanding of TCP/IP and networking technologies (LAN, WAN, etc.). Ideally you will have relevant professional qualifications such as Microsoft MCP certification or equivalent BUT good experience counts.
