AH0710DPE Mechanical Design Engineer / Project Engineer - Basic Salary: £25,000 to £35,000 - Annual Bonus - Contributory Pension Scheme - Medical Cover Based from my client's Head Office - commutable from Eastbourne, Hastings, Bexhill, Hailsham, Rye, Ashford, Heathfield, Cranbrook As a business my client design, develop, and manufacture a range of mechanical products. The development of new products and the evolution of existing products are cornerstones of the company's strength and success. They are looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop products from initial concept stage, through prototype stage to completion. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the role will encompass the following responsibilities: - Perform concept design and development of both new products and improvements to existing products - Perform calculations e.g. heat transfer, fluid flow, stress, pressure - design from first principle - Utilise Solidworks 3D and 2D CAD experience - Deliver a well-engineered product fit for manufacture - Take overall responsibility for projects - Ensure all products meet relevant standards - Liaise between sales, design & manufacture teams The successful Mechanical Design Engineer / Project Engineer will have: - Mechanical design experience and the ability to take a lead role in the process. - Experience of successfully designing and developing products - Experience of using Solidworks, Solid Edge or another 3D modelling package. - A theoretical thinker, confident and pro-active with a passion to succeed.
