Part of the L'Oréal group, The Body Shop International is a natural and ethical beauty brand, with 3050 stores in 66 markets around the world, operating through a multi-channel retail strategy, including stand-alone stores, global travel retail locations and e-commerce sites. Purpose of role: 1. Deliver high quality, innovative, interactive and responsive designs for The Body Shop website 2. Responsible for the user interface design for the Hybris website 3. Support with designs for A/B and usability testing to improve user experience 4. Keep abreast of new technology, design trends and emerging UI patterns Key Job Accountabilities: Deliver designs for on and off-site content, including email and social media assets and ad hoc requests as needed Informed and practical consideration of mobile, touch and responsive design to enhance brand and multichannel experiences Aware of trends/new ideas and share best practices for style guidelines Generating multimedia content assets to meet Brand brief Development of technical skills to stay abreast of technology changes Customer-focus with deep knowledge of ecommerce, usability and experience design Support UX and accessibility improvements Maintain and foster close partnerships with product owners, business analysts, development, creative, analytics and other key teams Work with product owners to set requirements and translate them into concepts and thoughtful interface designs ready for build Promote design thinking and advocate best practice for The Body Shop Lead the design of our pattern libraries, driving the decision making for pattern selection based on sound usability knowledge Design for internationalisation and localisation Work with the developers to provide an ideal global solution for Hybris Create and oversee striking visual designs across our platforms and products Simplify complex interaction problems and champion a user-centred design methodology High level of competency with relevant creative tools Research and recommend prototyping and wireframing tools xperience designing for multiple platforms, both with responsive adaptive design Mentoring and coaching the junior designer(s) within the team and advising on digital design across the wider business Experience required: Agile development experience Strong understanding of ecommerce and web analytics Previous experience working with ecommerce platforms, Hybris experience preferred Experience with Wireframing tools and testing tools like Monetate Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite Working knowledge of the web presentation technologies; HTML and CSS Highly organised with the capability to multi-task and prioritise to meet tight deadlines A passion for emerging technologies and all things interactive.
