Strategy and Technical Governance Architect £52,969 - £62,239 - Croydon Background This is a unique opportunity for a specialist Technical Architect to come and share responsibility for establishing the Home Office strategy on application architecture and steering projects in using your architectures to deliver tools for users and citizens. You will have experience for delivering solutions with a hands-on approach, anything from multi-tier applications to micro-service architectures. Role Requirements In this role you will develop and define strategy and policy statements to support technical delivery while supporting the continued development of best practice for technology evaluation, service change design, technology adoption and so on. You will be responsible for building and maintain technical roadmaps, always scanning the horizon for new and upcoming technologies. You will support the continued improvement of standards and governance process for technology lifecycle management and engage the vendor ecosystem. Essential Criteria You will need to demonstrate within your application the following essential experience - Strong track record in Solutions Architecture involving a broad range of technologies AWS, Azure, or Hadoop Linux, Windows, or Java Providing technical assurance to solutions and designs developed in house and by suppliers Using Spark EA and other tools Implementing architecture governance Working in multi-supplier environments and managing those relationships Managing complex stakeholder relationships Selection process details An initial sift of your CV will be conducted against the Essential Criteria. The telephone screen will further assess your experience against the Essential Criteria and will be carried out by Experis at a time to be agreed with you.
