Security Architect (Biometrics) £52, 969 - £62,239 - Croydon As a specialist technical architect, you'll share the responsibility for establishing the approach to application architecture, and guiding projects in using your architectures to deliver new tools for users. You'll thrive using agile methods and enjoy working collaboratively with departments and multidisciplinary teams. Your strong technical skills will be informed by an excellent knowledge of emerging technologies. Above all, you'll want to make the orgnanisation better, which may sometimes involve challenging the status quo. We are looking for people who have hands-on experience of delivering solutions, from multi-tier applications to micro-service architectures, with a passion for delivering simple solutions that meet the needs of users. Biometrics Many of the core business processes rely on the effective verification and identification of people. Biometric technologies continue to evolve in all areas with improved quality, accuracy, reducing costs and increased commoditisation through consumer devices. The Biometrics Project aims to capitalise on the improving biometric capabilities in areas such as fingerprint, face, DNA, iris and voice. Biometrics Architect Many of the core business processes rely on the effective verification and identification of people. Biometric technologies play a key role in these processes supporting the issuance of VISAs, passports, checks at the border and also in solving crimes. Biometric technologies continue to evolve in all areas with improved quality, accuracy, reducing costs and increased commoditisation through consumer devices. The Biometrics Programme aims to capitalise on the improving biometric capabilities in areas such as fingerprint, face, DNA, iris and voice. Role Biometric architects work with business analysts and operational users to design and implement the biometric specialist elements of a solution. Biometric architects should have a general knowledge across the technology and business domain and may have specialist skills in specific areas such as front end equipment, biometric capture, standards, workflows or matching capabilities. Essential Criteria · Candidates must demonstrate evidence of at least 2 of the following criteria in their CV: · Experience in various biometric modalities such as face, fingerprints, DNA, voice and iris. · Experience of biometric capture client, equipment and process design · Knowledge and experience of biometric accuracy testing · Knowledge and experience of biometric quality assessment specification and testing · Knowledge of biometric standards covering capture, data exchange and quality assessment · Application of biometric technologies to verification, identification, intelligence and crime · solving use cases. · In addition candidate must be able to demonstrate · Strong communication skills · Ability to engage with business stakeholders to understand and shape requirements taking in to account considerations such as business processes and available technology Desirable Experience · Experience of the application of biometrics in live service including the impact of real world factors · such as environments, process and people. · Understanding and experience of Cloud technologies If you would like any further information on this superb opportunity please call Danny Tunstall on or email
