Having committed to and delivered on an ambitious growth and investment plan the business wishes to hire a senior person to help shape the next phase of success for this dynamic and driven business. The owners are keen to deliver equity participation in the medium term to someone who delivers in this exciting and challenging role. Key Responsibilities Deliver and manage the scheduling and estimating functions for the business. Manage the performance, productivity and development of field and technical staff of Macleod Simmonds Ltd. Support the owners in developing a senior management team capable of continued stellar growth. Liaison with key client and engineering technical staff on all key projects. Identify and implement opportunities to improve systems and processes across the business. Deputise where appropriate for the Managing Director in key client and staff interactions. Essential Experience and understanding of high-growth owner directed small businesses. Understand and buy-in to the Macleod Simmonds Values ; Respect, Drive, Trust & Integrity. Significant experience (3yrs plus) in scheduling operations and management in Construction services. Accurate scheduling experience in common software packages. An understanding of utilities mapping, HDAGPR and related technologies. Proven project management experience in Construction services environment Demonstrable experience of the Client/Principal Contractor/ Sub-contractor supply chain and its operation. Significant experience (3 yrs plus ) of building successful relationships with key technical and specification staff at (for example , local authorities, transport bodies and other commissioners of works). Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt these to different audiences. Capable of working under pressure to tight deadlines, dealing with ambiguity and change A service mentality but not servile, appreciation that it's not a 9-5 business. Desirable Significant experience in delivering in a site data environment including HDAGPR technology. Have delivered improvements to scheduling processes in a related or similar business. Experience of designing and delivering training programmes for operational and field staff. Have run systems selection processes and implemented changes that delivered significant improvements. Significant people management, recruitment and development experience.
