LECTURER in HISTORY
An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen in our History Department for a full-time and permanent Lecturer/Co-ordinator role. This year the outcomes at A-Level have been Outstanding in terms of value-added and our History provision continues to grow from strength to strength with many of our students progressing to Russell Group universities to study History. You will co-ordinate a specialised, experienced and motivated team who are committed to sustaining outstanding Teaching, Learning and Assessment across the subject area at both Lewes and Eastbourne. You must be an A-Level History specialist for this role and your key responsibilities will be to lead a team and to deliver high-quality lessons. You will also be a highly motivated, dedicated, organised and dynamic course leader alongside being an outstanding practitioner at A-Level. You must have the ability to work and operate as part of a team and also independently. The ability to arouse and nurture curiosity in your students and staff around Teaching, Learning and Assessment is key to the role. The successful applicant will be dynamic, pro-active, learner- and staff-centred, and will be able to inspire and to aspire. Ultimately, for this position the need to be able to ignite that passion for History and to lead an Outstanding History Department is imperative. The start date is negotiable.
