Systems Engineer A leading insurer are looking for a System Engineer, with experience withing Insurance. Key objective is to provide installation, configuration, deployment and Tier 1 / Tier 2 support services for Global Actuarial Systems. Your new role. Perform conceptual systems and data architecture design work. Install, configure and deploy commercial vendor applications and assist with internal applications deployment. Perform application and data upgrades and updates. Analyse existing applications to improve efficiency and reliability. Serve as Actuarial Systems Support primary point of contact. Support issue troubleshooting/identification and resolution process. Non-critical issues during regular business hours. Critical (Severity 1) issues during both business and off-business hour. Ensure adherence to IT Systems policies and procedures. Support standard corporate IT functions such as Audit, D/R, IT Systems Platform changes and migrations, Strategic Planning, etc. What you`ll need to succeed. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS. Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. 3 years of SQL Server experience. 3 years of MS Office, especially Excel and Access, experience. 3 years of Systems Architecture and Infrastructure experience OS, configuration, data storage, virtualization. Resource management and optimization. 3 years of Systems/Applications implementation, configuration and deployment. Ability to mine and analyse data. Experience with various Systems Management tools and applications. Must have strong written and verbal communications skills
