Grafton Banks Finance is currently recruiting for a qualified Management Accountant to enhance the finance function for a large, respected organisation with offices near Crawley.Reporting to the FP&A Manager, the main purpose of the role is to provide accurate and timely management accounts, forecasts and budgets for shared function business units and business partnering the areas directors.Some of the main responsibilities include:Prepare monthly management accounts and present to central overhead budget holders, including variance analysis, for example shared services and procurement income.Analyse and understand key variances, getting behind the cause of any inaccurate postings or costs that need investigating by the business, including challenging the cost centre owners to provide information when necessary. Completion of monthly accruals and prepayments, combined with analysis and explanations.Support the production of periodic forecast, budget and long term plans.Post monthly payroll accruals, ensure accuracy via analysis of trends.Post payroll related bank movements, and payroll related accruals.Complete payroll related balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring any risks are identified and mitigated on a timely basis.The successful candidate will have strong management accounting experience, exposure to payroll accounting, balance sheet reconciliations experience and strong excel skills. Previous experience of SAP would be advantageous. You should also have excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with non finance personnel and Senior Managers.
