Stores Supervisor Our client, a leading designer and integrated manufacturer of award-winning passenger seats for some of the world's leading airlines, has an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and experienced Stores Supervisor to join this fast growing business. Location: Crawley (RH11)Salary: Competitive Hourly Rate As an integral member of the Warehouse department and reporting into the Warehouse & Shipping Manager the Stores Supervisor will manage, develop and lead all of the shop floor employees and associated activities relating to the effective operation of the Stores Team. Providing an efficient service encompassing picking, packing and warehousing to ensure full movement of all orders without compromising customer service levels is a key responsibility. Key Responsibilities; Implement all procedures appertaining to despatch / warehouse functions/operations.To continually monitor and advise on despatch / warehouse procedures to ensure efficient and high levels of performance as well as meeting key production requirements.Participate in and lead quality improvement projects so that existing work practices can be consistently improved.Full management of resources to ensure all activities involved in the warehouse operation are sufficiently covered to meet both peaks and troughs of production as well as sickness and holiday.Conduct team briefing sessions with employees to improve information flow, general productivity and an open collaborative team approachFully manage the Stores team to cover development and training, disciplinary and grievance and other relevant line manager duties in line with company policy.Advocate quality and technical procedures and health and safety to adhere to company compliance and audits. To be successful in this position you will have/be; Previous experience as a Stores Supervisor and demonstrable knowledge and understanding of a warehouse operation - Experience of operating within a packing, despatch, warehouse environment.Excellent leadership, organisational skill with a strong team player and motivational approach.The ability to excel under pressure in a deadline driven environment.Excellent communication skill to include managing internal and external customers and suppliers.Computer literate to an intermediate standard.Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.Kaizen course would be highly desirable.
