Senior Staff Nurse
Are you an experienced registered nurse, looking for a new challenge? Do you hold current paediatric, adult or learning disability nursing registration? Perhaps you are dual qualifier and looking to use all your skills in one job?
We are looking to complete our nursing workforce in our 7 bedded residential unit, where we provide 24 hour care and rehabilitation to a range of children and young people up to age 25. We care for a wide range of needs from rehabilitation following acquired brain injury, through to long term profound disability, including complex epilepsy, and ventilator dependency.
If you have experience in complex disability/and/or rehabilitation then we would love to hear from you. Experience of tracheotomy care, and assisted ventilation would also be an advantage, although not essential.
As part of the senior nursing workforce, you will be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating care for our children and young people, as well as being responsible for ensuring quality and standards are upheld. You will also take an active role in supporting management through supervision and performance review of more junior members of staff.
In turn we can offer you extensive training opportunities, and a career development programme to enable you to develop as a nurse, including support with re validation.
We operate a shift based roster system, and you will be expected to work flexibly to ensure service provision, including nights, weekends and bank holidays. Because of the rural location, it would be helpful to have access to a car or other form of transport.
