Central London is just 30 minutes away, making the Sofitel London Gatwick ideally positioned for business and leisure.</p> <p>The restaurants and bars showcase fresh international flavours from an all day dining concept, up-scale bars to the 2 AA Rosette English restaurant, La Brassiere.</p> <p>With 518 guest rooms, 11 meeting rooms, cutting edge technology this luxurious London Gatwick Airport hotel can comfortably host meetings, conferences and events for up to 300 guests.</p> <p><strong>We have an exciting opportunity for a Linen Porter to join the growing team. </strong></p> <p><strong>Do you want to be a part of a great company?</strong></p> <p>When it comes to customer service, creating a truly welcoming environment and combining this with superb facilities for our guests whether travelling on business or leisure, Arora Hotels really do stand out from the crowd.</p> <p>The <strong>Linen Porter </strong>Housekeeping Department is responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of the entire hotel including guest rooms, public areas, Food &amp; Beverage outlets, spa facilities, back of house areas and team member facilities.</p> <p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities of the Linen Porter</strong></p> <p>- Ensuring the supply of linen to the hotel is maintained in accordance with set par stocks. Basic duties will include: Counting all clean and dirty linen, reporting any damaged or dirty linen, maintaining a clean and tidy department</p> <p>- Ensure that set cleaning plan implemented by Linen Supervisor/Facilities Supervisor is followed</p> <p>- Maintain good communication and working relationships to ensure if best practise</p> <p>- Ensure that control measures set by HOD are followed at all times</p> <p>- Follow standards and deliver cleanliness require by company standard</p> <p>- Implement and action Housekeeping SOP’s and Daily Standards</p> <p>- Report maintenance queries to Linen Supervisor</p> <p>- Ensure that request made by Linen Supervisor, HOD, and other Senior Management are carried out in a timely manner</p> <p>- Complete actions given by Linen Supervisor/HOD</p> <p>- Ensure that all guest requests are carried out promptly</p> <p>- Follow H&amp;S systems implemented by HOD</p> <p>- Ensure that all work regulations such as COSHH, Manual Handling etc are followed</p> <p>- Ensure safe, effective storage procedures are followed with regards to Housekeeping materials/chemicals etc</p> <p><strong>Skills &amp; Experience required by the Linen Porter</strong></p> <p>- Previous experience is preferred but not essential</p> <p>- Ability to take on physically demanding job</p> <p>- The ability to complete all tasks to a high standard</p> <p>- High professional appearance</p> <p>- A positive attitude and good command of the English language due to guest interaction</p> <p><strong>If you feel you have the skills and experience required to become our Linen Porter, please click apply now.
