Due to an exciting new partnership with Dementia UK an exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered nurse to join SCFT as a Band 6 Admiral Nurse.

This is a fixed term contract until October 2020.

The primary focus of the Admiral Nurse role is to provide and influence the clinical leadership and delivery of person-centred and relationship-centred dementia.  Under the supervision of a Band 7 Admiral Nurse Clinical Team Lead, the Band 6 Admiral Nurse will deliver evidence based dementia care and will improve the experience of carers and families affected by dementia across High Weald, Lewes and Havens by providing support, expert guidance and practical solutions.

Dementia UK will support you to maintain and strengthen your clinical expertise as a specialist nurse through monthly clinical supervision and Practice and Professional Development.  You'll become part of a network of Admiral Nurses, and will have the opportunity to access relevant courses and develop professionally, informed by the Admiral Nurse Competency Framework

The successful applicants will be NMC registered with post-registration clinical experience of working with people with dementia and their carers/families in different settings, along with formal knowledge of dementia acquired through clinical post-graduate training/education.

Applicant requirements You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
