Design Manager - Tier 1 National Main Contractor - Health Projects!
Brighton
£45k - £55k plus car allowance, pension, medical, holidays!

This leading Tier 1 Main Contractor have been in the construction industry for over 100 years, working on a variety of projects; whether it's a large scale multimillion regeneration project or simply a broken sink, they bring expertise and innovative thinking to every project they do. They specialise across a variety of sectors aviation, central government, education, health-care, defence, industrial, hospitality and many more!

My client is now looking for a Design Manager who has experience in working on their Health Care projects in Brighton as they are currently one year in of their £45 million 5 year health-care framework.

Some of the key duties you will undertake as a Design Manager are:

• Taking the design brief.
• Working on pre-construction tenders.
• Liaising with clients and members of the health trust
• Ensuring design information is of the right quality and keeps pace with project timescales.
• Encouraging and inspiring design consultants to produce their best work using their full flair, experience, resources and talents in a cost effective way.
• Ensuring the design process recognises current legislation, standards and codes of practice, where appropriate.
• Striving to eliminate health and safety risks in the design and financial risks during construction.

A Design Manager applying for this role will have the key attributes below, among others:

• Must have health construction experience
• Self-motivated / Driven individual
• Team player but able to work independently
• Attention to detail
