Field Service Engineer

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

Benefits: 25 day holiday + bank holidays + pension + company car + overtime

Location: Burgess Hill


World class manufacturing business supplying award winning engineering products around the world are looking to recruit a field service engineer to join the established UK service engineering team.
You will have experience in field service engineering holding a full UK driving licence with both mechanical and electrical engineering experience, ideally based within commutable distance of Burgess Hill, working Monday to Friday.

The Role

* Fault finding, electrical issues with the plant, tracing issues with wiring, reading circuit diagrams
* Attend to breakdown calls, when required on Optical products
* Complete site visits reports, to allow correct processing of customer orders
* Create calibration certificates from recorded data
* Customer visits to scheduled service, calibration, and training of optical products
* Proactively, independent and flexible
* Daily visits including overnight stays as and when required by the business

Requirements

* HNC or above in Mechanical / Electronic engineering time served apprentice qualified
* Wide knowledge of mechanical, electrical and software based products
* Experience in mechanical and electronic engineering
* Experience of calibration processes
* Experience in a field or office based service role
* Full UK driving license and commutable to the Burgess Hill area essential
