Our client is an independent award-winning vending supplier. Superior craftsmanship, sustainable technologies and courteous service are things they are fully committed too. They are seeking a Part-time (15 hours) Cafe Merchandiser to join their expanding team in the Crawley area.

This job is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to be integral in the successful running of the Café facilites. Café is a stylish, self-service food facility. In the initial months it will be an integral role to ensure new contracts are implemented successfully, working closely with various internal departments (particularly Operations), suppliers and most importantly the customer.

The successful candidate will work on their own initiative and help to develop a comprehensive process manual, ensuring the contents cover all necessary compliances for food safety and hygiene. They will also help senior management to monitor various aspects such as product range and food wastage.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

* Proactively managing all aspects of the business stream, e.g. product changes, waste management
* Be confident to make recommendations to enhance profitability
* Ensure our facilities look professional, operate efficiently and achieve the financial objects
* Ensure high levels of stock control/accuracy within warehouses and sites, through development and implementation of processes for stock control, waste management etc.
* Work closely with the Business Services team to ensure our range of products is optimised at all times & any promotions are carefully managed through.
* Ensure hygiene and safety records are completed correctly
* Take necessary corrective action to ensure standards & procedures are maintained and improved
* Ensure all customer facilities comply with all aspects of the Company Health and Safety policy/procedures and any specified by the Client
* To ensure the highest levels of customer relations are maintained, including facilitating the management of customer queries and dealing with any complaints through the appropriate channels in line with the company's ISO procedures.
* Effective planning & organising of customer sites making the most efficient use of available resources.

Key Skills & Personal Requirement

* Experience working in a retail food or coffee environment would be ideal but not essential
* Exceptionally customer service focused individual
* Good organisational skills, with the ability to recognise and meet deadlines
* Highly motivated proven self-starter and outgoing personality.
* Prepared to travel if required
