We have an exciting opportunity for someone who is interested in working with children and young people with additional needs. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor to join a multi-disciplinary team including Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Specialist Nurses and Paediatricians. You will be based in a Child Development Centre and provide support to the Occupational Therapy Team both in the Centre and in the community, including schools, nurseries and home environments. The Occupational Therapy profession focuses on helping people to develop their practical and daily living skills, so this post is an opportunity to support children, young people and their families with managing the impact of their difficulties on their daily lives. It offers the chance to be both creative and practical. The post holder will be expected to carry a designated caseload of children and deliver goal-centred therapy programmes and carry out additional tasks as required by the team.

The applicant will need to have experience of working with children and a relevant qualification. As it is a community post they will also need to be a car driver/owner.

We are a friendly and supportive team offering regular training opportunities and supervision. The Child Development Service is based in 2 centres in the Central area of West Sussex (Crawley and Horsham) with easy access to the Sussex countryside as well as Brighton and London.  

Applicant requirements You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
