Job Details

We are seeking to recruit a part-time 0.8 Lecturer to teach on our Games Development degrees: FdA Games Development (Levels 4 and 5) and BA (Hons) top-up Games Asset Development (Level 6).  The member of staff will be based at our West Durrington University Centre.  The appointment is fixed term until 30th June 2019.

This role requires a high level of professional knowledge, experience and understanding of game design theory and programming for games design, along with a relevant degree or professional qualification. Candidates will have relevant teaching experience along with a teaching qualification or a willingness to obtain one.      Experience of games development using the UE4 games engine and the ability to teach C++ programming is desirable.  Effective communication skills, both written and verbal and a commitment to equality of opportunity is essential.  

All new lecturing staff must possess GCSE Maths and English (minimum Grade C) or equivalent or willingness to gain and it is desirable that candidates possess assessor or verifier awards or other appropriate specialist training qualification.
