FINANCE ASSISTANT
37.5 hrs per week
£21,880 per annum

St Barnabas Hospices offers specialist palliative care through two hospices:
St Barnabas House provides palliative care to adults in the Worthing, Adur, Arun and Henfield areas through a range of services, including In-patient Care, Day Hospice and Community Care.
Chestnut Tree House is the children's hospice reaching across Sussex and South East Hampshire. Providing care and support for children/young people and their families with life-shortening conditions.
We are looking for a highly organised and accurate individual to join our busy Finance Team to help process all income and expenditure for the organisation.
Principle duties and responsibilities:
- Assist in processing and banking all income from various income streams
- Reconcile banks accounts and petty cash
- Assist in processing invoices and payments and answering queries
- Provide day to day financial support to all areas of the organisation
- Administer Gift Aid records and produce regular information and reports
The successful applicant will have experience of working in a busy financial environment. You will need to have strong organisational ability, excellent interpersonal skills and experience of using an accounting software system as well as Excel and Word. Working knowledge of Gift Aid and VAT is desirable.
