South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit staff to work as Clinicians in our 999 Emergency Operations Centres.

We are looking for registered Nurses or Paramedics with at least two years’ experience, keen to progress and develop into a new career challenge.

You will be working in the emergency front line of telephone clinical assessment whilst being one of the first points of clinical contact and sometimes the first or only clinician a patient or caller may speak with when calling 999 (through hear and treat). Excellent patient care, ensuring the best patient experience is paramount in this forward thinking, dynamic team.

Experience in either pre-hospital, acute, chronic or primary care will assist you in carrying out complex clinical triage on the telephone, providing assessment, referring to the most appropriate care pathway, or sometimes providing support whilst an emergency crew are on their way, looking to get patient care right, first time, every time.

Applications are also welcomed from Clinicians who are looking for a ‘Dual Role’ opportunity, in developing their experience and knowledge supporting their ‘face-to-face’ patient skills, with those gained through working within multi clinical disciplinary teams in telephone clinical assessment and patient management.

Full training and support will be provided to make it possible for you to transition into this role so that you can make a big difference to our patients.

·         Full time (37.5 hours) or part time hours considered

·         Rotating shift pattern covering 24/7 service

·         £26,565 to £35,577 pa plus up to 25% unsocial hours payment

We would encourage potential applicants to get in touch to arrange a visit to spend time in one of the EOCs to find out more about the role.
