Eezehaul provides competitive and extremely reliable logistics solutions, which is why we have become the South East’s largest regional FORS Silver approved carrier. We are looking to recruit a logistics controller for our busy transport office in Crawley. Working Monday-Friday 9.30am-6.30pm with 1 in 5 rostered Saturday mornings 7am-12pm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily vehicle plan, allocating vehicles to haulage and pallet routes from Van to 44t vehicles to respond to customers direct load needs. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work to tight deadlines whilst demonstrating exceptional attention to detail. You will also be required to demonstrate good working relations with the driver team, office colleagues and have excellent customer focus. Good communication both verbal and written is an essential part of the role. Working knowledge of Microsoft office, word, excel and outlook are required. Responsibilities of Role:

Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

  • To answer the telephones in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Plan and utilisation of staff (including agency cover bookings) and vehicles to complete daily operations planner ensuring resources are used for maximum efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • To manage control of the vehicle fleet ensuring haulage routes are both achievable and vehicles are used to best efficiency,  maintaining and updating any amendments throughout the day so the information is live for all to access
  • Deal with drivers queries appropriately, and ensuring driver’s collections and deliveries are completed to schedule
  • Deal with customer queries and complaints effectively, ensuring that goodwill is maintained
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with our customers, other depots and the rest of the Eezehaul team.
  • To accurately prepare administration within set timeframes required
  • Update job status, PODs, to include accurate pricing & invoice checks
  • To carry out other tasks that may be required for the company from time to time
  • Adhere to health and safety policy, and other requirements relating to care of equipment

Requirements of Role

Must have 1 + years’ experience in logistics preferably transport planning or routing.
