Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Q. Are all my details the same on the new LoveLocalJobs.com site?

Yes. We have done our very best to migrate over your details to the new LoveLocalJobs.com jobs board platform. There are some fields that are different with the new site which will require you to log in to your account and update your details.

Q. Do I have to complete my account in order to apply for a job?

Yes. With our new jobs board platform all users will have to complete their jobseeker account and profile before being able to apply for a job. You will only need to complete this once. You are then free to apply for as many jobs as you want to thereafter.

Q. Has my CV(s) migrated over?

Yes, but only your default CV. On our old system you were able to upload more than one CV – you had the option to select one CV as your default and others were listed as additional. With the new LoveLocalJobs.com jobs board platform we have ONLY migrated over your default CV.

When you log in to your account, you will see your CV at the top of the page. It is listed under: Your profile.

With our new platform you are only able to upload one CV per account.

Q. Covering letter?

Our new LoveLocalJobs.com platform does not support or recommend uploading covering letters and storing them. This is because you should be making sure that you are updating your cover letter and message each time you apply for a job vacancy. When you are applying for a job vacancy on our new jobs board platform, you will have an option to write a cover letter to that employer.

Q. What are filtering questions?

Filtering questions are set by the employers advertising their job vacancies to help filter out unsuitable applicants. As an employer you may have particular requirements for your job vacancies. An example could be that your vacancy requires the applicant to have a full UK driving licence.
Employers can then set a filtering question; do you have a full UK driving licence?

If the jobseeker answers incorrectly, the employer will not be notified with their application.

Q. How do I set filtering questions for my job vacancy?

Firstly, you will need to ask the LoveLocalJobs.com team to give you access and permission to set filtering questions. There is an additional charge to have this benefit added to your employer account.

After you have completed your job listing details, you will see the option to add filter questions to that job vacancy. You can set up to 5 filtering questions. These questions will be added to the job application form.

Apprenticeships are a brilliant way of gaining qualifications and work-place experience. As an employee you can earn as you learn and gain practical skills from the work place that will really help you in your future career.
