Parkers Building Supplies raising the roof for Bexhill

Published on: 14 Nov 2016

When Bexhill CC’s clubhouse roof recently collapsed under lashings of torrential rain it seemed unlikely they would be keen to see a revisit by the Lashings but that’s exactly what Parkers Building Supplies helped make happen.

Parkers Building Supplies Bexhill's branch’s local Cricket Club suffered serious damage in the storms in late summer and the clubhouse roof was completely destroyed by the torrential weather. This could have been devastating for the club who were dreading the prospect of replacing the 300sq mtrs of flat roof.

With the Club preparing to welcome the all star Lashings Cricket Club within a matter of weeks time was of the essence.

So together with their suppliers James Latham Timber and roofing and waterproofing specialists IKO, who supplied the materials required, they rallied around to help build them a new roof.

Once the materials were in place they were lucky enough to persuade regular PBS customer Crown Roofing and their retained maintenance contractor to carry out the work. Sean Painter, the MD of Crown Roofing, generously provided 3 men free of charge to strip the old roof and replace with a new, perfectly constructed flat roof.
