Be a Superhero Like Our Martlets’ Nurses
Thirteen Martlets’ Nurses are taking on the superheroic challenge of bouncing around the biggest inflatable obstacle course that Brighton and Hove has ever seen this September.
They’ll be tackling the Superhero themed Kapow Race in Preston Park and will be climbing and slip-sliding around the gigantic, foam filled 5k challenge to raise essential funds for the hospice.
The nurses say that they would like lots of local people to sign up to the event which will includes ten immense inflatables, high velocity foam cannons, a UV bubble pod and a maze.
Nurse Sacha Walker said, “We’d really like as many superheroes as possible from the city to take part, we know you are out there! It’s going to be a fantastic fun event and the money raised will help us to continue to provide our life-changing care to our patients and their families.
“If you can’t take part on the day then please do hop online and sponsor us on our JustGiving page.”
Antonia Shepherd from the Martlets’ Fundraising Team said, “This is a race that you’ll never forget! You can sign up as an individual, a team or bring the whole family along.
“Tickets cost £25 for over 16s, £10 for children and £65 for a family of four. Children need to be accompanied by an adult and all entrants must be over 1.2m tall.
“You don’t have to raise sponsorship to enter but, since we’re a charity, it would be great if you could. Every penny raised will help local people as they face some of their toughest times.”
