LoveLocalJobs.com helping over half a million people in Sussex land their dream job and working to inspire over a 1000 students considering their future career.

Endless award nominations, shortlists and wins the successful growth of Be the Change and the launch of latest job platform, LoveCroydonJobs.com. It’s been one hell of a year for LoveLocalJobs.com and it feels like they are only getting started.

If you haven’t heard of LoveLocalJobs.com before, it means you must have been living under a rock. With branding all over Sussex including the Brighton & Hove Albion Football Ground, the Sussex Cricket Ground, billboards and buses around Brighton and Hove, and on the airwaves across Sussex, the brand is literally everywhere! It’s crazy to think that only six years ago,

LoveLocalJobs.com didn’t even exist - it was just an idea in the head of CEO Gary Peters.

Wanting to raise career aspirations and create job opportunities for local people Gary launched the original jobs board, and after massive growth and success, and another 5 job boards launch in the Coast to Capital area, the company is going from strength to strength, with big plans for 2017.

We have all seen a jobs board before; generalised job listings from businesses up and down the country screaming out to find talent and paying astronomical amounts for advertising. LoveLocalJobs.com has always bucked this trend. The LoveLocalJobs.com family of regional job boards enable local businesses and employers to connect with the local job market, thus providing the local communities with access to the local job opportunities, skills, training and information they need to be successful. LoveLocalJobs.com boasts an impressive list of local partners such as American Express, Heart FM, Hastings Direct and Bupa Global, to name a few.

2016 has seen award nominations for Best Job/Careers Board at The Recruiter Awards and the Business in The Community Award at the Brighton & Hove Business Awards and finalist status at the prestigious National Online Recruitment Awards for Best Regional Jobs Board. The cherry on top this year has to be being crowned the Most Responsible Business at the 28th Sussex Business Awards 2016 for the ground breaking work inspiring young people through their Be the Change Programme. Whatever they are doing, they are doing it right and it is being recognised by the right people, up and down the country.

With the LoveLocalJobs.com brand dominating the Sussex area, the next focus will be to grow into new areas. The first was Croydon; London’s largest borough, which is set for significant change and regeneration after significant investment. With such a strong track record, it was not hard to convince local organisations such as White Label, LV=, Harris Global and Start Up Croydon to get involved and come on board as founding partners alongside recognised brands such as Heart FM and American Express. With the official domain change taking place in September this year, the LoveCroydonJobs.com website traffic is doubling week on week with signs of steady growth.

Following the first pilot back in April 2015, Be the Change, the initiative created by LoveLocalJobs.com in partnership with humanutopia, has grown considerably. The programme created in response to 5 years’ worth of feedback from employers about the gaps they were experiencing in their talent pipelines. Be the Change gives business professionals the chance to become positive role models for disengaged young people and working with the Be the Change Team, they help to build their happiness, confidence, hope, relationships and employability.

Be the Change has run full programmes in Coastal West Sussex, Brighton and Hastings and more recently launched a Crawley/Gatwick Programme and a pilot event in Croydon with more than 60 organisations providing Business Guides, including The Body Shop, American Express, NatWest, Gatwick Airport, Southern Water and Brighton & Hove Buses. Insurance Company Hastings Direct, a partner of LoveLocalJobs.com, has even taken things a step further, funding their own bespoke Be the Change programmes in Bexhill and Leicester over 3 years, with incredible results.

What’s next LoveLocalJobs.com? Charlene Brown, Head of Operations for LoveLocalJobs.com says “2016 has been a year to remember. Our focus for next year is to further strengthen our brand within the Sussex region, which includes Be the Change and then continue to strategies for a national roll out which is in full swing. The team has nearly doubled in size since last year so seeing growth like this is fantastic, 2017 is looking very exciting!”
