Be the Change - Business Guide Invitation
We would like to invite you to be a business guide at our forthcoming Be the Change events in Sussex.
The life changing events will bring together approximately 20-30 business volunteers, with 100-120 college students (age 17-19) for an inspirational day aimed at young people who may face challenges and difficulties within the learning environment or with life in general, and who perhaps lack confidence, but who with the right support have the potential to aim high with great results. Be the Change helps open student’s eyes to the world of work and wealth of the educational possibilities and career opportunities in their hometown and beyond. It acts as a springboard for young people, helping them to realise their full potential and providing them with the knowledge, confidence and skills needed to aim high and work towards successful careers.
We are looking for volunteers from organisations who can volunteer for the day at one or more of the following events:
- West Sussex – Worthing (17-19 years olds). Tuesday 16th May from 8.15am - 4pm at Worthing Assembly Hall, Stoke Abbott Road, Worthing, BN11 1HQ
- East Sussex – Hastings (17-19 years olds). Thursday 18th May from 8.15am - 4pm at The Hastings Centre, The Ridge, Hastings TN34 2SA
Please confirm by the 5th May If you are able to join us as a business guide on either the 16th May in Worthing or 18th May in Hastings as detailed in the attached invitation. Also, please do get in touch if you have any colleagues or contacts within your network who you think would be interested in volunteering as a Be the Change Business Guide. Be the Change does not work without support from people like you!
