Stylishly Spookly Halloween Ball Raises £29,000 for Martlets

Stylishly Spookly Halloween Ball Raises £29,000 for Martlets

Brighton’s iconic Grand Hotel was the glamorous setting for this year’s Martlets Halloween Ball, which raised just under £29,000 in the room for the city’s hospice.

There were gowns, suits and some people in incredible costumes enjoying the Halloween fun and dancing until the small hours in support of the charity.

The highlight of the evening was the auction of the last ever Snowdog puppies Lily Pup and Love Pup. Designed by well-known Brighton artists Steve Mason and Jason McQuillen, together they raised £12,500.

Organiser Emma Knight said, “We had a fantastic night raising an incredible amount of money for Martlets; I was literally reduced to tears at people’s generosity and the sense of support and positivity in the room. Everyone got into the spirit of things with amazing costumes, which included a brilliant unicorn, Poison Ivy and some wicked looking witches!

“We’re hugely grateful to The Salt Room and The Coal Shed for generously sponsoring this year’s ball and also to our brilliant Master of Ceremonies, Steve Bustin.

“Thank you to everyone who made the night such a tremendous success.”
