Gold award for Chichester College website

The college won gold at this year’s FE First College Marketing Network awards in the Website Development category, sponsored by FEmarketing.

The award comes after the website underwent a complete redesign, culminating in the launch of new site in January 2016.

Julie Kapsalis, Vice Principal at Chichester College, said: “We are delighted to have won gold at the College Marketing Network awards.

“Our website is a gateway into the college, and we wanted it to reflect the outstanding standards we have achieved as a college. This recognition tells us that we have been successful in that ambition.

“The award is really testament to the hard work of our marketing team, especially our digital marketing officer Hazel Saegert – who has driven the new website from its conception.”

The award recognises the importance of website development for college marketing, and the importance for them to be attractive, informative, interactive and up-to-date.

The judges were looking for innovation, clarity, ease and fluidity of navigation as well as how user-friendly the website is. They were also looking at how monitoring and analysis of the site is collected and used.

The award citation read: “The winner of the Gold Award is an impressive project which the judges wholeheartedly agreed was aesthetically a significant improvement on the previous site.

“A very strong supporting submission included a really thorough explanation of how the project met the core objectives. It honestly discussed the shortcomings of the previous site and how these were addressed by the new site development. A great achievement for Chichester College.”
