We are a family run pub company based in Hove, East Sussex. Established in the early 1980’s the company began life at The Longman of Wilmington in Patcham and has steadily grown since. Our varied portfolio includes community pubs, town centre pubs and picturesque village pubs.

We pride ourselves on providing quality drink and food in a welcoming atmospheres. High standards of service, unrivalled cleanliness and immaculate presentation of our public houses & bars have helped set us apart.

We are proud of our reputation within the local community and as such use local suppliers where possible and support a number of local charities, including the Martlets Hospice. As a founding member of the ALMR (Association of Licensed Multiple Retailers) we support the industry’s efforts in promoting responsible drinking and the drive to increase standards across the sector.

The Longman, Patcham, BN1 8JH

The founding pub of the Golden Lion Group, this venue has been run by the company for nearly 40 years.  It is a loyal following of regular customers, but constantly welcomes new customers to the fold by enticing them with authentic Thai Cuisine, regular live entertainment, Big Screen sports, quiz nights and a fantastic range of drinks.  Everything you’d expect from a modern community pub.

Ladies Mile, Patcham, BN1 8RA

A pub that epitomises the saying ‘the heart of the community’.  Regular and destination customers alike enjoy great pub food, regular live entertainment, community events, lovely outside areas and a fantastic range of drinks.  The pub benefit from its own function venue that caters for regular parties and celebrations.  In summary, a welcoming community boozer.

Plough Inn, Rottingdean, BN2 7HD

A picturesque village pub located on the pond in Rottingdean.  It has built an enviable reputation for high-end pub classics and busy Sunday Roasts.  It has a healthy atmosphere generated from the frequent diners and the loyal following of cask ale drinkers that love their regular pint.  Well regarded for its friendly service and quality wine list the Plough Inn is a lovely little village pub with plenty of charm

Colonnade Bar, New Road, BN1 1BN

Being a quirky little theatre bar, business here can go from very quiet to very busy very quickly!  Plenty of G&T’s are sold to the theatre crowd, and a good job too as the bar stocks of 50 different gins.  An ideal venue to work in if you have an interest in the performing arts and the venue of choice for plenty of the acts, support acts and staff of the nearby events venues.

The Cricketers, Black Lion Street, BN1 1ND

A fantastic traditional Victorian style public house set right in the heart of The Lanes.  Busy by day with regulars and shoppers looking to be fed and watered.  Then busier still come the evening with a nice clientele looking for great beer, local ales and a decent range of spirits and wines.  With regular live music, an upstairs private hire venue and late license this venue is a high energy pub for upbeat personalities.

Hove Place, Hove, BN3 2FH

Beautiful pub in the heart of Hove, just of Church Road.  Hove Place has established a reputation for fantastic bistro style pub food.  The quality food and service make it a popular venue all year round, but it is summer when the pub really kicks-on.  A large rear garden is one of the best places in the city to enjoy a cold beverage and some tasty food.  It’s a contemporary pub offer that hasn’t forgotten the things that make a pub a pub! 

Libation, Hove, BN3 2LE

One of Hove’s favourite ‘night-out’ destinations, Libation is more than just a party venue.  It caters for those looking for a quiet coffee in the morning, a lovely light lunch, a couple of beers with friends and after-work cocktails. It covers plenty of bases.  The team here are really friendly, very service orientated and there’s always a vibrant atmosphere.
