New recruitment deal targets youth opportunities

Brighton and Hove City council is working in partnership with Brighton and Hove jobs dot com to build a new, exciting employment and training hub for the city. The work will generate income for the council and develop traineeships at a time when opportunities for young people are very low.

The deal will also develop city wide apprenticeships with local employers and attract a broader candidate base of applicants for jobs within the council.

Cabinet Councillor for Finance Jason Kitcat said; “This is a great opportunity for the council to work in partnership with a local company to develop a smarter way of recruiting, reaching a wider range of potential candidates and create training opportunities for young people”.

Gary Peters from Brighton and Hove Jobs dot com said; “This an exciting development for us and an opportunity to deliver a great solution for Brighton and Hove city council which will create job opportunities and encourage talent within the city”
