We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Care Assistant to support our young residents with Complex Neuro–Disabilities and Physical Disabilities.

Treating people with kindness and compassion is vital in this role, and everything else will be taught to you.
Seeing the person behind the disability is an essential skill.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in following individualised care plans, and working closely with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with mobility and physical exercises, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Support residents in their daily activities, such as meal preparation, feeding, and household tasks.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, understanding their individual needs and preferences.
- Encourage and support residents to participate in social and recreational activities.
- Administer medication in accordance with care plans and medical guidelines.
- Monitor and record residents' health and well–being, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a high standard of care is maintained.
- Respect residents' privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
The Successful candidate
- A basic understanding of the care and support needs of people with physical disabilities and respecting them as individuals
- Empathy and a genuine passion to help others and build rewarding relationships with the young residents.
- Ability to support children and young adults to participate in a range of activities.
- Basic Maths, English, and IT skills.
- Commitment to undertake training to achieve the Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
- Willing to attend specific training and confidently set up gastrostomy feeds for children and young adults.
- Willing to work shift patterns including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
