About the Role

We are in search of an individual who can contribute to the management, coordination, and successful delivery of our growing range of programmes. Within this role, helping to ensure programme participants and supporting partners have the best possible experience will be of high importance and will play a key role in enabling us to maintain and further develop the essential relationships that enable our work.

To give you an idea of the role, your main responsibilities are detailed below:

Position: Programme Delivery Manager (Maternity Cover)

Start Date: 6th January 2024

Contract: 12 month Maternity Cover

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 dependant on experience

*This is an office based role and does not involve working in schools or directly with the students.

We believe this is a full-time role, but we are open to candidates who can do 3-4 days per week.

What you’ll do      

Programmes

  • Supporting with management of and liaison with event sponsors and educational institutions to ensure they get exceptional service and ROI for their sponsorship.
  • Support and work with the Senior Community Programmes Coordinator in communicating with and supporting any sponsors, schools or mentors’ queries and troubleshooting on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly and to an extremely high standard.
  • Support our sponsors, schools, and mentors with any queries they may have on the lead up to and on the day of the event to ensure that everything runs smoothly and to an extremely high standard.  Also support with pre and post event follow-up and administration with delegates, suppliers, and sponsors.  You will utilise platforms such as Teams and Zoom to ensure engagement throughout the whole programme.
  • To have the ability to be able to brief volunteers/Staff/Mentors at events alongside the Senior Community Programmes Co-Ordinator. Ensure that all safeguarding checks are complete, and policies are followed.  
  • Support our speakers by ensuring that their content is prepared, branded, and ready for the delivery of our programmes.
  • Support in producing all documentation for the programmes including planning timelines, information sheets, presentations, programme booklets, team schedules (including speakers).
  • With the Senior Community Programme Coordinator prepare all delegate packs, badges, and documentation/handouts for programmes where appropriate.
  • Collaborate and partner with our external marketing agency in supporting with the promotion of our programmes through social campaigns using platforms such as Canva, SmugMug and MailChimp.  Additionally, provide support in maintaining and updating the foundations (Wix) website.
  • Play a responsible part in ensuring all GDPR legislations are abided too. 
  • Keep updated with any updates or changes in legislations via the NSPCC website.
  • Ensuring that you always follow the Foundations Inclusion, Equality and Diversity Policy, also considering unconscious and conscious bias when delivering to groups of individuals.
  • You will enjoy working across various sites including educational institutions, our very own Brighton office and remotely where you will continue to work as part of a wonderful team to achieve success.             

Strategy 

  • You will work closely with the Chief Executive and Head of Community Programmes, to develop and strengthen existing relationships within the private, public and third sectors – with a particular focus on ensuring a high-quality service and level of programme satisfaction to private businesses and educational institutions taking part in our programmes.
  • Communicate with sponsors, schools, and mentors’ pre, post and during events, helping to ensure all parties can get the most from their experience and feel positive about continued participation and support.
  • Support in further developing the measurement and evaluation of programmes and interaction to demonstrate impact and help to retain sponsorship and attract new sources of funding.
  • Collaborate with other charities and future potential partner organisations to help identify and implement partnerships that are mutually beneficial. E.g. Rockinghorse, Russell Martin Foundation, Petworth Vision etc.
  • Support in writing foundation and partner collateral to send out across social media and via email marketing. 
  • Support in the line management of the Senior Community Programme Coordinator.
  • Constantly look at better ways of working and streamlining processes so as the charity grows, processes are updated, and new ways of working are suggested/recommended.

Interviews will take place the week of the 7th October and will be across 3 stages:

Stage 1: Phone call with Human Resources

Stage 2: Face to face interview with the CEO and Programme Delivery Manager

Stage 3: Final face to face interview in the form of a presentation with CEO and the charities chairman.

The Love Local Jobs Foundation is a registered Charity that was formed in March 2023 as a continuation of the work previously delivered by the LoveLocalJobs Foundation C.I.C. (Community Interest Company) which has helped to inspire over 23,000 young people in Sussex. 

The C.I.C. was launched by our founders Gary and Kate Peters in 2018 with support from ambassador Harry Redknapp and other influential individuals from the local community. Since then the C.I.C. has worked with over 1,000 business volunteers from leading local employers, to help considerably raise the life and career aspirations of our next generation across Sussex.

Our new charitable status will allow us to enhance our mission of supporting and empowering local young people. We'll continue to partner with ethical employers, educational institutions, and public sector entities to provide even more opportunities for the next generation of talent in our communities. Additionally, we'll focus on delivering essential support to those who need it most. Becoming a registered Charity is a significant step towards creating a positive impact in the lives of even more young people.
