Job description
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the team in delivering excellent customer service in a busy and energetic at an award-winning adventure activity centre and party venue in Angmering, West Sussex, while studying for an Operations / Departmental Manager Level 5 Apprenticeship.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring the smooth running of all areas within the business
- Ensure the team deliver the highest level of customer service and maximise customer sales.
- Maintain of all staff, customers, building and compliance regulations
- Maintain and manage the highest levels of hygiene and cleanliness and prepare facilities for customer use.
- Ensure the required acceptable standards of shift standards and essential completion and sign off all check sheets.
- Address not satisfactory standards with General Manager.
- Team management, including Manager holidays, sickness or other absences, staff compliance with code of conduct, staff performance, staff rotas.
- Maintain close control of all operating expenses spend and profits in line with business needs and customer levels.
- Train and develop, coaching of all team members.
- Set team targets and objectives, coaching through to success.
- Assist and undertake Staff appraisals in conjunction of General Manager

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week based on 4 days on site and 1 day at college in Chichester. Shift pattern to be agreed during opening times of 9am-8pm Monday to Sunday depending on requirements.
Salary: £24,000 per annum (Please see National Apprenticeship Minimum Wage information below)
Qualifications Required: GCSE Math and English minimum Grade 4 required to apply for this Apprenticeship
Future Prospects: Possibility of permanent role within Out of Bounds, with future possible career progression, subject to performance.

- To be eligible to be an apprentice you must be free from full time education, have been a resident in the UK for a minimum of 3 years and have authorisation to work.
- Flexibility required with working hours as some weekends may be required.
- 5 days include 1 day in college at Chichester
- Own transport would be an advantage due to location.
- Free onsite parking available.
Further Information:
Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £6.40 per hour (As of the 1st April 2024). This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16 to 18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum Wage appropriate to their ages applies.
