Nurse for Children in Care
Brighton and Hove Children in Care Health Team are looking for a dynamic motivated nurse who is able to compliment existing skills and expertise within in the team to further drive forward the teams vision in improving the health outcomes for Brighton and Hove's Children in care.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate an understanding of the health needs of this vulnerable case load and a willingness to continue their professional development to ensure they are equipped to provide a high standard of health assessment and care planning; they will need be able to work with autonomy whilst also demonstrating a commitment to working within the team. They need to be able demonstrate an ability to work within clearly defined time frames, and have experience of producing quality reports and care plans. Team members work with children and young people from birth through to 17 years.
The successful candidate will also need to have experience of working with vulnerable children and young people and have sound knowledge of safeguarding children. They will contribute to medical and forensic assessment, by providing nursing support for children and young people when the attend Children Sexual Assault Referral Centre following allegation of sexual abuse.
