Reporting to the Director of Sales in this busy Event led hotel, this position is a key contributor to the hotels success, holding the primary responsibility of driving local business, from Brighton and Hove and its surrounding areas, into the hotel.
You should have a warm, personable nature, a can do attitude, and amazing commercial acumen. You will be able to understand and anticipate customer needs ensuring that our guest expectations are met and exceeded at all times. You will thrive on the challenge of a fast paced environment and be able to demonstrate the ability to prioritize to deliver against targets set.
Ideal candidates will have previous proven experience, for a minimum of two years, in the travel or hospitality industry, preferable in a Conference and Events led hotel or similar high quality environment. An in-depth knowledge of the Brighton market place is essential.
Your main responsibilities as Sales Manager will include:
- Driving local corporate sales, conference & events and banqueting business to the hotel, contributing to the hotel's overall sales ambition
- Identify all sales potential within the local area, attending networking events to maximize your profile
- Local account management - developing and maximizing all new and existing business and agent relationships in the local market
- Ensure that the local market is linked with and kept up to date with current developments and promotions within the hotel
