Volunteer eBay Photographer

Martlets Ebay sites stock vintage finds and collectables such as stamps, coins, books, CDs, DVDs and games. It’s a busy operation as our online sites are updated every day and we need a volunteer to join the team to photograph donated items for two of our sites (non-media) to help us raise funds to support the work we do.

Where: Unit 6 Sussex House Business Park, 270-274 Old Shoreham Road Hove, East Sussex, BN3 7DX

When: Between 10am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

Usual minimum commitment: Weekly three-hour shift (flexible hours/days)


What you’ll be doing:

  • Photographing items identified by warehouse sorters as suitable for selling on eBay
  • Uploading photos of saleable items on to our system
  • You will be mainly working independently, although training and support will be provided

Your skills and abilities:

  • Confident using cameras and uploading photos onto PCs
  • Ideally with experience in photography
  • Industrious – able to photograph items efficiently, in their best light
  • Ability to work as directed and to feed back information as to any issues etc.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team of staff and volunteers
  • Ability to lift light items

  • Willing to take instructions
  • To be polite and reliable
