Digital Communications Manager

Salary: £26,957 to £30,242 per annum (dependent on experience)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

An exciting opportunity to accelerate and evolve our Social Media and Digital communications channel within Martlets.   Digital Communications is fairly new to Martlets only just over 2 years old, therefore, for someone keen to make a difference and take the lead and champion digital channels to raise necessary funding and tell our patients and family stories then this is the job for you.

Main duties will include:

  • Liaise with key departments and with the marketing and comms team to agree, maintain and develop their content on Martlets website.
  • Use digital marketing tools to increase visitors to the charity’s website
  • Create and co-ordinate a content plan and calendar of activity for the website and update news pages as required.
  • Develop update and feed creative content across third party websites and social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube.
  • Encourage and train staff to increase their understanding and use of digital communications.

Key Skills required:

  • Work experience in a similar role for 2 years
  • Specialist knowledge of content management systems, social media, web development
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent IT and Digital skills
  • Experience of using digital tools especially Google analytics and Buffer
  • Ability to initiate activities and to manage work volumes and priorities
