Salary:  £20,702.95 to £26,442.78 per annum (dependent on experience)

Hours:  37.5 hours per week (including study time as part of the Apprenticeship)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a Data and Information Analyst Apprentice to help us use our data more efficiently and provide business intelligence to senior and service management.

Using your creativity, energy and determination you will collect, analyse and report on our data to help inform service delivery and improvements.

What does the role of a Data Analyst involve?

The Data Analyst will collect, organise and study data to provide business insight. Data analysts are typically involved with managing, cleansing, abstracting and aggregating data, and conducting a range of analytical studies on that data. They will document and report the results of data analysis activities making recommendations to improve business performance.

Main duties will include:

  • Analyse data to inform decision making, quality monitoring and key performance indicators
  • Develop the use of analytical models and tools to support decision making
  • Develop, analyse and prepare business reports, including patient reports and surveys
  • Propose, implement and produce scorecard production for regular reporting requirements
  • Contribute to the development of systems and processes
  • Ensure patient data is properly safeguarded

This 18 month, level 4 apprenticeship provides you with a great platform of skills and knowledge and will help you to kick-start your career.  On successful completion of the apprenticeship there will be an opportunity to join the Martlets team on a full time basis.


This Apprenticeship covers concepts on:

  • Data Analysis and analytics
  • Data structures, Big Data, Processes and tools for data integration
  • Advances a foundation of data analysis, giving a well-rounded ability and competence to work as a Data Analyst

On successful completion of the programme, you will gain the following qualifications:

  • BCS L4 Certificate in Data Analysis Concepts
  • EMC Data Science Associate Accreditation

Entry requirements:

  • Achieved a minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade 4-9 / A-C) including Maths and English Language
  • Completed a Level 3 studies (A-levels, BTEC Level 3 or Level 3 Apprenticeship) by September 2018
  • A Level 3 qualification in a Maths-related subject
  • Be eligible to work in the UK and will not be in full-time education by September 2018
  • Have lived in the UK and/or EU for 3 years prior to September 2018
