Speech and Language Therapist
We are looking for a speech and language therapist with at least two years' experience in adult neurology to join our friendly community speech and language therapy team working in High Weald, Lewes & Havens. You will work on a varied community caseload with adults with a range of communication and swallowing difficulties.
This post will be based at Uckfield Community Hospital, with potential to work out of Newhaven Polyclinic and Brighton General Hospital. Applications are encouraged from therapists currently working at Band 6, but also therapists who are looking for a development post from Band 5-6.
You will have experience of interdisciplinary team working, training delivery, participation in student placements and involvement in clinical governance activities. You will have post-qualification dysphagia training and experience.
Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust is a large community health care organisation, incorporating the towns along the south coast of East & West Sussex, spreading north to Crawley and the Kent borders. You will have direct links with speech and language therapy colleagues working in High Weald, Lewes and Havens and Community Neuro Rehabilitation teams, and will also benefit from being part of the wider adult community speech and language therapy service within Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust. As a member of the larger Trust wide SLT workforce you will be encouraged to participate in the many clinical development opportunities available.
