CBT Therapist / Clinical Health Psychologist / Counselling Psychologist
This is a unique opportunity to be actively involved in a pioneering, successful service. We're looking to recruit an enthusiastic part time B7 CBT Therapist / Clinical Psychologist / Counselling Psychologist to work within our innovative Community of Practice in Mid Sussex. Communities of Practice (CoP) support patients with complex physical health problems to reduce hospital admissions. Working alongside two other well-established Therapists in neighbouring CoP teams, you'll contribute psychologically to patient care as well as support the multidisciplinary teams - comprised of nursing, occupational therapy, social work and mental health (CPN) professionals.
Working day-to-day integrated within the CoP you'll also have the benefit of being based within Time to Talk Health, a new and developing talking therapies service for patients with comorbid conditions. This will give you a rare opportunity to work alongside other CBT Therapists and Psychologists with expertise in this field. You'll be supported by the Clinical Lead and the Clinical Services Manager as well as the CoP Team Leader to ensure locally and nationally agreed targets are met. We offer high quality CPD and training and specialist supervision with a Senior Therapist who works across all Communities of Practice and Time to Talk Health.
This role will be of interest to CBT Therapists and/or doctoral level (or equivalent) Clinical Psychologists or Counselling Psychologists. You should be able to demonstrate use of evidence based practice (CBT), and one other therapy modality (counselling, IPT, DIT for example). We are particularly interested in applicants who have experience of working with patients with long term health conditions and/or older people. Experience of offering consultation, supervision and training and of working with physical healthcare staff would also be an advantage. CBT Therapists should be BABCP accredited and Psychologists should be HCPC registered.
Applicants will preferably need to have a full driving licence and car, as the role involves travelling between Mid Sussex community bases as well as some home visits to patients.Applicant requirements You must have appropriate UK professional registration. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
