Continence and urinary catheter care is a passion and is so much more rewarding than you may believe.
The Bladder and Bowel Specialist Service has an exciting new role for an experienced community nurse to be part of the specialist service, but also work closely with the community nurses to further develop their catheterisation skills. You would help facilitate community teams to make appropriate referrals to the specialist service for both urinary catheter and continence care.
You would be working as part of the Bladder and Bowel Specialist Service to provide education to healthcare professionals and carers regarding urinary catheter care.
Amongst your repertoire of skills the following will be essential:
High standard of interpersonal skills
High standard of IT skills
The post will involve working in the community therefore a car driver/owner is essential.Applicant requirements You must have appropriate UK professional registration. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
