We are seeking an innovative Chaplain to lead a new multifaith & spiritual care service.

As a Community Trust, the vast majority of our staff are based within local communities and most of our patient contacts take place within people's homes or in clinics. We need to adapt our model of inpatient focussed chaplaincy to incorporate a community focus, whilst seeking to retain the excellent service provided to our inpatient services.

We are looking for an experienced and innovative lead chaplain who understands the requirements of multifaith & belief healthcare Chaplaincy, who can support the strategic delivery of a community focussed chaplaincy service and who will be able to lead on the development of a new Spiritual care policy and direction for the organisation.

This is a new direction for Chaplaincy within the NHS and will suit a highly organised and energetic person who can forge excellent and productive links with faith & spirituality based organisations across a range of diverse localities.

You will not be working alone and will have the support of the Trusts Religion & Beliefs staff network, existing chaplaincy arrangements and an excellent volunteer bureau with well-developed networks and community contacts.

If you are seeking a new direction and challenge within the field of Health Care Chaplaincy you will find a rewarding and stimulating career direction within Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust.

We would strongly encourage you to contact Damien Brennan for further information and to discuss or arrange an informal visit to our Trust
