A fantastic opportunity for a reliable and friendly individual who is passionate about hairdressing to kick-start their career at a friendly salon in Crawley.

Daily duties include:

  • Welcoming clients into the salon
  • Making beverages
  • Reception duties answering the telephone, making +/- amending appointments, dealing with enquiries, taking payments
  • Preparing work stations and treatment rooms
  • Assisting the Hair and Beauty Technicians
  • Ensuring the Salon is kept clean and tidy
  • Follow protocol in the cleaning of instruments, tools and equipment used within the salon

Successful applicant will be able to have free/reduced treatments after probation period!

Training to be Provided:

This Apprenticeship Standard will include the City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma for Hair Professionals as the mandatory qualification. With support from Crawley College, the Apprentice will be required to complete: A portfolio of evidence for each unit (logbook) The knowledge and understanding requirements (written and/or on-line exams and oral questions)

Expected Duration:

12 months

Skills Required:

Good telephone manner, ability to engage with clients and computer literate

Qualifications Required:

Maths and English GCSE grade C/4+ or equivalent preferred but not essential

Personal Qualities:

Polite, approachable, friendly, reliable and passionate

Future Prospects:

Full time and permanent position at the end of apprenticeship along with support and encouragement to progress onto a higher level
